The Col di Corte Winery covers about twelve hectares of land in the municipality of Montecarotto, in the heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. The project was born recently, from the passion of three friends, who took over the vineyards and cellar of a company already named Laurentina. At the head of the group is Giacomo Rossi, a dynamic figure in the world of cinema, with an eye on viticulture (he produced Jonathan Nossiter's film Natural Resistance). Giacomo, together with the others, has very clear ideas on how to set up the work: conversion to organic since 2015, first biodynamic treatments in 2016, spontaneous fermentation on all wines from the 2016 vintage, parcellar vinification to bring out the complex territory of Verdicchio. Overall, Col di Corte manages 4 hectares of Verdicchio, 2 of Lacrima, 2 of Montepulciano, 2 of Sangiovese for a total production of around 40,000 bottles.
